Gatekeeping, a memoir
Summary
At age 18, misdiagnosed and overmedicated, Kelly begins to recover from her mental anguish when she leaves her home in Kansas City. While mourning her departure from the Midwest, she finds herself in farflung places from Budapest to Amman to Washington, DC. Learning new languages and searching for truth, she prepares to take on the gatekeepers of power — power over others, and particularly over herself.
